Going On A Bug Hunt

bug hunt

Our bugs and blooms theme is in full swing but in order to get this started right we had to go on a bug hunt this week. Using the traditional song “Going on a Bear Hunt” as our inspiration, the children echoed their way through this buggy adventure. All sorts of different bugs were found and placed in each of their bug jars. But not to worry, at the end of the song we set them free.

If you and your Budding Beethoven are feeling adventurous after pretending to go on a bug hunt, check out this DIY Bug Jar and take the learning outdoors. Good luck and don’t forget to sing our bug hunt song below!

MusicallyMinded

A Seattle-based music education business specializing in early childhood music and movement classes founded by Jocelyn Manzanarez in September of 2003. Jocelyn held her first class in the basement of the Tahoma School District bus barn in Maple Valley, Washington with just six babies. Along with their mamas, Jocelyn cultivated the babies’ innate musical abilities and interests through play, song, movement and love. She knew her quest to touch as many young children as possible had begun. This first class will also be known as Musically Minded’s first Budding Beethovens.
