What 30 minutes on a Tuesday actually looks like
Young children learn through their bodies first. Every class follows the same three-part arc, so children know what’s coming and teachers know what to do.
A hello song, a steady beat, and a reason to look at the screen. Attention comes first, and music earns it faster than any transition trick.
Scarves, shakers, rhythm sticks, a parachute. Big movement, then small movement, then stillness. The wiggles get a job to do.
Steady beat, patterns, listening, turn-taking, vocabulary. The skills are tucked inside the songs, so children practice without noticing they’re practicing.
Interactive enough that your class will forget the teacher isn’t in the room.

Every Tuesday from September 15 through May 25, minus holiday weeks. You’ll get the full calendar when you enroll.
Posted the same day. Use them for a second music time later in the week, or to catch up.
So teachers and parents can lead the songs between classes without guessing at the words.

Each week’s class uses a mix of these. Keep them together in one box so they’re always easy to find on music day.

Hi, I’m Jocelyn. I’ve been teaching music to young children for more than 25 years, and I still spend my weeks in Seattle-area preschools with real 3-year-olds, real schedules, and real Tuesday mornings.
That’s where Engage, Move, Learn™ came from. Children learn best when their whole body is invited in, and music is the fastest way I know to do that. The virtual class runs on the same songs, the same structure, and the same energy as the classes I teach in person. Only the commute is missing.

Questions we get a lot
What ages is this for?
Preschool-aged children get the most out of it, roughly 2 to 6 years old. Younger siblings are welcome to wiggle along, and kindergarteners still love it.
What if we can’t make 10:30 a.m. Pacific on Tuesdays?
Use the replay. It’s posted the same day and stays available all year. Plenty of East Coast programs run it as their afternoon music time, and plenty of families do it after nap.
Do the children need to be on camera?
No. Cameras are welcome and Jocelyn loves to see the room, but the class works just as well with your camera off. Nothing about the class depends on children being seen.
How is one classroom enrollment different from one family enrollment?
Classroom enrollment covers one classroom of any size at a school, preschool, or childcare program, and includes teacher-facing lesson outlines. Family enrollment covers one household with up to 3 children. If you run a home-based program with more than 3 children, choose the classroom option.
Can we join partway through the year?
Yes. Enrollment is monthly and open all year. Your first month starts the day you enroll, and you’ll have the replays for the full month you join.
What do we need to set up?
A screen with sound, the Zoom link we send you, and the materials bin. For classrooms, a projector or large TV works best. For families, a laptop on the coffee table is plenty.
First class is Tuesday, September 15.
